4  one-act plays — 15-20 minutes each:

 

1.  “Two Realities” by Derek Lively (of da Bronx)

     Two Afri-American young men on a Bronx subway platform — Sidney, a Wall St. M.B.A. and Curtis, a rapper – trade life choices and get “in each other’s face{s}.” 

     Funny, thought-provoking and:  Yes:  “deep.”

2.  “When Barry Met Sumeekah” by Debbra Liverman (of NYC)

       Barry, a young semi-pro basketball player, is talented, sexy but does have a BIT to learn about how to treat women!  He and Sumeekah, an adorable waitress lucky enough to be his hot brand-new squeeze, deal with him always bein’ on the phone /w his ex, Selena.  — This = real funny s**&^t, y’all.

3.  “Girl Pink” by Larry Schwabacher  (of Staten Island)

       Sandra tries to cope with interesting news from her 18-year-old daughter, Kristen, and her sexual choices.

5.  “Deadly Habits” by Kevin Lasenberry (local Montclair, NJ writer!)

     7 people in prison for their strong Deadly Sins mega-problems try to learn about these problems with the help of Doc, a pretty, young and committed behavioral scientist.  Funny, disturbing and mostly:  KEEPIN’ – IT – REAL.
